The building of a culvert over the Etam- Manengoteng River on the 2.6 kilometres road linking Manengoteng and Mantem I in Manjo was heralded as salvation by 2,900 inhabitants. Being a bustling agricultural zone, it brought about a considerable increase in the quantity agricultural produce ferried from the area to urban zones. Farm produce transported thanks to the novel link in the chain rose from 1,500 tons to 3,000 tons. It equally reduced transport cost from Manengoteng to Manjo by 60 per cent, a change that was most appreciated especially by the 580 households in Manengoteng.
